Call to artists ~ Our Living Harbour - art show in the office of Victoria MP Denise Savoie. Victoria’s harbour is a place of natural beauty, a world-class paddling venue and a community gathering place. It is also a busy working harbour that co-exists with a vulnerable marine ecology, and is threatened by a proposal to build a marina for luxury yachts. Victoria artists are invited to paint, photograph and create works of art depicting aspects of a place that is integral to our city’s identity and heritage. This work will be on display throughout the fall in the office of Victoria Member of Parliament Denise Savoie. vision for this portion is to have artists of different genres and different cultural backgrounds/specialities come together in one piece. The term artist is used loosely. This is not just for professional artists, but everyone (all ages).
