Who are we? The Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria is a membership based advocacy organization that works to promote awareness of the arts, and to ensure that the arts remain a priority in municipal and provincial government planning and budgets. We encourage, develop and coordinate artistic and cultural activities in Greater Victoria. We have 11 members on the Board of Directors, a full-time Executive Director, a full-time administrator as well as part-time staff. Our membership is made up of approximately 1,000 people, with 800 individuals and over 80 groups and societies. We also have regular volunteers. Our members, both group and individual, represent people from all disciplines of the arts in Greater Victoria.
Our Mandate
The objective of the Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria is to provide advocacy through leadership, partnership and community involvement, and to increase and broaden public awareness and opportunities in artistic and cultural activities
